• Tourism and hospitality industry programs set to help improve health and safety at work
  Hotels, restaurants, pubs, and ski hills in B.C. have a new resource to help reduce injuries and improve workplace safety as go2, B.C.'s tourism and hospitality industry human resources association, launches a new health and safety division.
• Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) Ventilation and the BC Hospitality Sector: Best Practices Forum
  On April 15, 2003, more than forty representatives from BC's Hospitality Industry gathered in Burnaby, BC, to attend a "best practices forum" on environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) ventilation and the Hospitality Sector.
• Hospitality Industry Improves its Health and Safety
  The WorkSafeBC and the BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association have formed a partnership to address the health and safety needs of the hospitality industry.
• White Spot Health and Safety Information 2002
  The attached materials were developed by White Spot Restaurants as part of their health and safety program, and are working for them.

  The following are a series of 8 ergonomic pamphlets for the Hospitality industry including the accommodation, and food and beverage sectors.
• Preventing Injuries to Hotel and Restaurant Workers Focus Report
  This report describes how the hotel and restaurant industries impact the economy, provides accident statistics on the hotel and restaurant industries, and contains information on how to prevent common accidents. This report also deals with implementing a health and safety program and obtaining assistance and information from WorkSafeBC.
• Hospitality Today Article no. 1 "Hospitality and WorkSafeBC"
  The serious human resource shortage facing Hospitality is not news to you. Providing a healthy and safe work place is one way of building a positive and productive work environment -- one that retains good staff.
• Hospitality Today Article no. 2 "Preventing Overexertion Injuries"
  A restaurant cook bends over to lift a heavy pail of fruit salad and strains his back. A housekeeper repeatedly bends over to pick up laundry from the floor and develops chronic lower back pain.
