The following links list publications and other resources to help with confined space issues. These resources may not meet all the requirements for health and safety in British Columbia. Please check the Workers Compensation Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, and related materials for specific WorkSafeBC requirements.
"Two-thirds of all confined space fatalities occur among would-be rescuers. For this reason, the rescue section has intentionally been placed near the beginning of this guide. To prevent deaths, it is critical to use good confined space entry practices so that there is no need for rescue operations. Remember, even a well-planned rescue can end up as a body retrieval."
