These resources may not meet all the requirements for health and safety in British Columbia. Disc Protrusion (Video)

video thumbnail Your spine is made up of a series of bones separated by small cushions called discs. If a disc is stained beyond its limit, it can bulge or rupture and put pressure on one of the spinal nerves. This painful condition is called disc protrusion. Back Talk: An Owner's Manual for Backs BK4

Back Belts May Not Prevent Injuries at Work

Ergonomic Commentary explaining what a back belt is and how back belts cannot be used as personal protective equipment. Advises users that back belts may not prevent injuries at work and may, in some cases, increase the risk of injuries.
