Initial Training Course BCIT OHS 3330
For registrants who wish to be authorized to conduct industrial hearing tests under the Occupational Health & Safety Regulation Section 7.8. If you have previously held this authorization, but it expired more than 2 years ago, you must register and take a full training course.

Industrial Audiometric Technician Authorization

To be eligible for authorization to conduct hearing tests under the OH&S Regulation, applicants must successfully complete the Audiometric Technician Training Course offered at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In addition, applicants must be sponsored by an employer under WorkSafeBC jurisdiction with a hearing conservation program, or by an authorized hearing test contractor (i.e., a business which provides hearing tests on a fee-for-service basis to industry).
