The following links list tools, publications, and other resources to help prevent young worker injuries and illnesses. These resources may not meet all the requirements for health and safety in British Columbia. Please check the Workers Compensation Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, and related materials for specific WorkSafeBC requirements.

Updated Item Student WorkSafe Planning 10: Lesson Modules

This resource includes seven lesson plans, each designed to correspond to one or more prescribed learning outcomes from the provincially prescribed Planning 10 curriculum. Although the seven lessons complement each other and can be followed sequentially to deliver a complete unit on workplace safety, they can also be reordered and adapted to address a variety of classroom needs.

Two forms of assessment and evaluation are provided in Student WorkSafe Planning 10. Each lesson contains at least one assessment tool that provides opportunities for both student self-assessment and teacher assessment. There is a password protected written test which should be completed once the student has finished the entire Student WorkSafe Planning 10 program. A answer key and a Certificate of Completion are also available.
