2006 Contest - Workplace Safety - Student Public Service Announcement Contest

In February 2006, WorkSafeBC's Young Worker Program entered into a partnership with the B.C. Art Teachers Association and the Washington Marine Group to sponsor a video contest for B.C. high school students.

The teens were asked to produce a short occupational health and safety public service announcement for television regarding the risks that young people face in the workplace.

A total of 22 entries were received. Upon review, the judges determined that two entries stood out:

There's always next year
The contest proved so successful it will run again starting in the fall, with winners judged in April 2007.
