WHMIS The basics - This booklet explains the basics of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), including: background to WHMIS development, hazard classifications, labels, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and WHMIS Program education/Implementation. By understanding the information in this book, workers learn where to look on the label of a controlled product, where to look on a Material Safety Data Sheet, and what to discuss with supervisors.

The manual provides a means of reinforcing general WHMIS concepts presented in the WHMIS video.
