Discussion paper: Occupational exposure limit for formaldehyde

At issue is whether to keep the occupational exposure limit (“OEL”) established in WorkSafeBC Policy R5.48-1, or adopt the threshold limit value set by American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH). |

Bakery workers are exposed to allergens in flour dust, particularly when weighing and pouring, and when operating dough mixers. The concentration of airborne flour dust can be more than 200 times the occupational exposure limit. |

Register with the BC Association for Crane Safety (BCACS) before July 1, 2007. Starting July 1, 2007, crane operators must have a document from the BCACS indicating either that they are either fully certified or that they are registered for assessment. |
