This is a reminder from the Policy and Research Division at WorkSafeBC that stakeholder consultation on changes to the multiple classification policy will be ending on June 10, 2008. If you have already sent us a response, thank you, and please send this email on to others you think may be interested in responding

At issue is a review of the multiple classification policy, including the question of how to assign a single classification unit to an employer that does not meet the requirements for multiple classification but conducts operations spanning more than one activity. Also at issue is a review of the list of special hazard operations contained in the policy.

The discussion paper, proposed policy amendments, and information on how to provide feedback can be accessed through the link below.

The consultation period for this item will end on June 10, 2008. The Board of Directors will consider stakeholder feedback before making a decision on the amendments.
