Please indicate your preferred option: [Required]
1 - Status quo - Under this option, no policy changes would be made to address the issues raised by the Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunal ("WCAT") Vice Chair that the 75-day time limit on reconsiderations applies where an employer's classification is changed due to Board error.
2 - Revise the classification change and reconsideration policies - Under this option, WorksafeBC would revise the classification change and reconsideration policies in the Assessment Manual to reference the 75-day time limit with respect to decisions on classification changes due to Board error. The classification change policy would also set out an additional reason for classification change - policy changes that result in changes to classification units.
