While working at the top of a 55 percent slope, the right front wheel of the skidder climbed a stump then slid off on the downhill side. The skidder rolled 220' down the hill, landing on its canopy on a haul road. It appears this impact bent the canopy and the skidder made one more roll. The operator remained inside the machine but received fatal neck injuries in the series of violent rolls.
