The worn condition of
the kickback fingers on
an edger allowed a 2 x 4
to kick back from the
edger. The 2 x 4 travelled
a distance of
51 feet at an estimated 145
mph. It impaled a
Millwright-Carpenter who
was working 51 feet
away.
